Away from everyday logistics and after a break of 3 years due to the pandemic, on June 16th there was every reason to have a party: GIGATON and BVL opened their traditional summer party. Supporting programme, gastronomy, nice weather and many guests ensured a relaxed atmosphere.

The welcoming address on behalf of BVL was given by Robert Riediger, pfenning logistics GmbH and deputy spokesman for the BVL Rhine/Neckar regional group, and handed over to Michael Schröder, professor at the DHBW Mannheim for business administration, major in forwarding, transport and logistics and a BVL member. With his humorous lecture on the future of logistics, he involved the guests to time travel to the year 2030. Picked up by Axel Gutensohn, Managing Director of GIGATON, he honored, among others, the many years of friendship and cooperation with BVL. Many thanks also went to the GIGATON team, which organized the event.

After the official part, the pleasant aromas from the barbecue invited everyone to enjoy the buffet, full of culinary classics from the region. Those who didn’t want to follow the Palatinate wine tradition and neither had to drive, took advantage of a freshly tapped Augustiner beer from Munich – the Bavarian highlight of all our BVL summer festivals thanks to the owner family of LTG (Landauer Transportgesellschaft Doll KG).
Another highlight was the Naro's Singing Pizza Show, designed by the pizza baker Naro Vitale, who enchants his audience with Italian songs while preparing the world-famous Neapolitan dish. A Piaggio Ape equipped with a pizza oven is the backdrop, pizza and his voice obviously delight the senses.
Late at night, Gen Z didn't miss out either, because speakers and amplifiers were put to the test!
